Do Not Sell My Info

Last Updated: October 9, 2025

Under U.S. state privacy laws (including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by CPRA), you may direct CoffeeScoutr to opt you out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. CoffeeScoutr does not sell contact information for money; however, some analytics/advertising activities can be deemed a “sale” or “share” under these laws. This page explains your choices and how to exercise them.

Your Opt-Out Choices

1) One-Click Opt-Out (Recommended)

Use our site-level control below to opt out of activities considered a sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising on this browser:

  • Status: Your current preference will appear here once saved
  • Action: Use the Opt Out button in the Preferences section below (see the HTML toggle if you’re implementing this now).

Your preference is stored in a browser signal/cookie. If you clear cookies, use another browser, or another device, you’ll need to set this again.

2) Global Privacy Control (GPC)

We honor Global Privacy Control signals where required by law. If your browser or extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid opt-out of sale/sharing for that browser. Learn more at globalprivacycontrol.org.

3) Cookie & Ad Preferences

Manage non-essential cookies (analytics/advertising) at any time via our cookie banner’s Settings. You can also use industry tools to opt out of interest-based advertising:

  • DAA: aboutads.info/choices
  • NAI: networkadvertising.org/choices

4) Email & SMS Marketing

  • Email: Click Unsubscribe in any email from us (FluentCRM).
  • SMS: Reply STOP to any text you receive from us (Texty/Twilio).

What “Sell” and “Share” Mean Here

  • Sell (CPRA): disclosing personal information for value (not necessarily money).
  • Share (CPRA): disclosing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (personalized ads across different sites/apps).

Because CoffeeScoutr uses Self-Hosted Ads Management, Google Analytics 4, and Microsoft Clarity, certain disclosures for measurement and advertising relevance may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under CPRA unless you opt out.

Submitting a Formal Request

You can submit a Do Not Sell or Share request through either of these:

When you contact us, please note whether your request is for:

  • Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing (browser/site preference)
  • Access/Know, Delete, or Correct
  • Appeal of a prior request decision

We’ll verify your request and respond within the timeframes required by law.

Verification & Authorized Agents

To protect your privacy, we may take reasonable steps to verify your identity (e.g., email verification link). You may also use an authorized agent, provided they submit proof of authority and we can verify your identity directly or via signed permission.

What Changes After You Opt Out?

  • We will not engage in activities deemed a sale or sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in this browser.
  • You may still see ads, but they should be less tailored based on cross-site behavior.
  • Essential cookies and processing (e.g., security, fraud prevention, basic analytics) may continue as permitted by law.

Note: If you consent to precise location for “Near Me,” that permission is separate from sale/share preferences. You can revoke location access in your browser/device settings at any time.

Appeals

If we deny your request (e.g., we cannot verify it), you may appeal by replying to our response or by emailing privacy@coffeescoutr.com with the subject line “Appeal—Privacy Request.” We will review and respond within the required period.

Additional Ways to Limit Tracking

  • Browser Controls: Block or delete cookies; use private browsing; restrict third-party cookies.
  • GPC: Enable the Global Privacy Control in supported browsers/extensions.
  • Ad Choices: Use DAA/NAI tools listed above.
  • Device Settings: Revoke location permissions (if previously granted).
